93% of the population possess a mobile phone (2004). There are plenty of public internet places which are free of charge – this is unique in Europe.

Estonia’s national prefix is 00372. Phone cards are available in kiosks, tourist information centres and post offices. Emergency numbers: Police: 110, Fire brigade and ambulance: 112

The Estonian top-level-domain is .ee

Internet cafes can be found in Tallinn as well as in every other large town in Estonia.

 

Mobile telephone system

Using your own mobile phone is generally possible. You might want to check if your local mobile phone provider has got a roaming agreement with Estonian operators.

 

Electricity supply

Current voltage is 220 volts a/c, 50 hertz. An adaptor might be necessary depending on your local plugs.
